”For centuries, Africa has mesmerized the world with its stunning scenery, its ancient civilizations, its hypnotizing music. This is your chance to experience the world's most fascinating continent.”
You are going on safari! This week you will be exploring the different regions of Africa by reading about the people, cultures and traditions in at least 2 regions of Africa. You will be traveling in safari groups of 3-5 people. Each person in your group should have a role. Everyone should be helping explore for answers to the handouts and everyone should be completing their own copy of the notes!
Resources out in the wild are scarce. With that said, only 2 members of your group may have a laptop, so you must practice sharing.

You will have the opportunity to explore 2 of the diverse geographic regions on the continent of Africa. While on your journey, all members of your safari group are expected to search for answers and work collaboratively to complete the field research handout. Your two safari guides will manage the laptops, while the interpreters will assist them in finding the relevant and important information within the website. When you return from the field, one person in your group should be elected as a spokesman to present your findings to the rest of the class. Your group's analysis should include a compare/contrast between the two regions.
